Summary
An own-initiative report assessing Horizon 2020 implementation ahead of its interim evaluation and the Framework Programme 9 proposal. The amendments stress scientific excellence, simplification and time-to-grant, low success rates of proposals, the emphasis on SMEs and a EUR 8.65 billion target, the EUR 2.2 billion cut for the EFSI guarantee fund, links with ESI funds, the European Innovation Council, and the UK's departure.
