A European Strategy for Hydrogen
The dossier sets out a European strategy for hydrogen. Amendments discuss hydrogen as an energy carrier to decarbonise sectors such as steel, heavy industry, aviation and shipping in line with the Paris Agreement and climate neutrality; debate renewable, green, low-carbon and clean hydrogen definitions; note its energy- and resource-intensive production, potential job creation and revenue, and concerns over NOx emissions and the need to scale up renewables.
