Summary

The dossier is a resolution on the UN Climate Change Conference (COP29) in Baku, Azerbaijan. Amendments dispute the choice of Azerbaijan as host given fundamental-rights, fossil-fuel and human-rights concerns, address access of fossil fuel lobbyists and Global South voices to the decision-making process, host country agreements, the Aarhus Convention, the EU's updated NDC and the Paris Agreement, and the possible suspension of the energy partnership with Azerbaijan.
