Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): DANIELSSON Johan (S&D)
Summary

A legislative dossier on vehicle registration documents and data within the roadworthiness package. The amendments harmonise physical and mobile registration certificates as fully equivalent, support digitalisation and reduced administrative burden, facilitate cross-border re-registration and de-registration, require Member States to record vehicle data electronically, designate a single national contact point, and combat fraud and trade in stolen vehicles by imposing liability on perpetrators.
