## What the amendments focus on

This dossier includes aviation activities in the greenhouse gas emission allowance trading scheme. The amendments address the climate impact of aviation including carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxides, a harmonised allocation methodology and special reserve for aircraft operators, the share of allowances auctioned and freely allocated, linear reduction of aviation allowances, use of CERs and ERUs, the scope of flights and exemptions, and use of auctioning proceeds.
