## What the amendments focus on

Proposal on Community statistics relating to external trade with non-member countries. The amendments revise provisions excluding certain goods or movements from external trade statistics for methodological reasons, such as monetary gold, legal-tender means of payment, goods of a diplomatic nature and movements involving national armed forces stationed abroad, and providing for the tariff treatment held by customs authorities, namely the preferential code.
