## What the amendments focus on

The dossier concerns the role of the national judge in the European judicial system. Amendments revise recitals and paragraphs on training of judges in Community law and language skills, access to and publication of Community law, mutual knowledge of national legal systems, the role of the Academy of European Law and a proposed European Judicial Academy, the preliminary ruling procedure and the Court of Justice, and clarity of Community legislation.
