## What the amendments focus on

This own-initiative report concerns Europe-wide safer, cleaner and efficient mobility and the first intelligent car report. The amendments address the fragmented car safety feature market and gradual introduction of new technologies, the risk of too many in-vehicle displays impairing drivers, intelligent vehicle systems reducing congestion, pollution and accidents, eSafety initiatives and Joint Technology Initiatives, accident-simulation training, harmonisation of the 112 emergency call, the Galileo programme, and reducing CO2 emissions.
