## What the amendments focus on

A legislative proposal on the provision of food information to consumers. Amendments address nutrition declarations, country-of-origin and place-of-provenance labelling for meat and other foodstuffs, allergen information, labelling of alcoholic beverages, exemptions and reduced burdens for SMEs and non-prepacked foods, definitions such as 'handcrafted food', transitional periods, and delegated and implementing powers conferred on the Commission.
