## What the amendments focus on

The dossier concerns type-approval requirements of motor vehicles with regard to road safety. The amendments address safety, CO2 and noise requirements for vehicles and tyres, empowering the Commission to set procedures and tests, tyre labelling and pressure monitoring systems, electronic stability control, advanced emergency braking and lane departure warning systems, protection of vehicle occupants and other road users, and tyre categories and definitions.
