## What the amendments focus on

Legislative proposal on the performance and sustainability of the European aviation system. Amendments address the single European sky and top-down versus bottom-up approaches, functional airspace blocks and cooperation between air navigation service providers, independence of national supervisory authorities, financing of common projects including through the emissions trading system, the role of Eurocontrol and SESAR, and a performance scheme with safety, capacity, environmental and cost-efficiency targets.
