## What the amendments focus on

Legislation on management of fishing fleets in the outermost regions. The amendments revise the deadline and scope of a derogation under Article 2 of Regulation (EC) No 639/2004 from Article 9(1) of Regulation (EC) No 2792/1999, variously proposing to repeal it, maintain it indefinitely, or extend the deadline to dates such as 31 December 2010, 2011 or 2013, including public aid for the renovation of fishing vessels.
