## What the amendments focus on

This dossier concerns consumer rights. The amendments propose replacing several existing Directives with a single Directive, debate full versus minimum harmonisation by letting Member States maintain higher levels of consumer protection, set pre-contractual information requirements including on the total cost of credit and the right of withdrawal, extend coverage to financial services and digital products, and address out-of-court complaints, collective redress and reimbursement after withdrawal.
