## What the amendments focus on

A legislative dossier recasting the Eurodac system for comparing fingerprints of third-country nationals or stateless applicants and requests for comparison with Eurodac data. The amendments address law-enforcement and Europol access under strict conditions, verification of fingerprints by experts, personal data protection and case-by-case processing, prohibition of transfers to third countries, and the Common European Asylum System.
