## What the amendments focus on

This own-initiative report addresses freight transport in Europe. Amendments stress sustainable and intermodal freight and rail freight, reducing CO2 emissions, oil consumption and external costs, developing European corridors and 'green corridors' using the European Rail Traffic Management System and the TEN-T network, addressing bottlenecks and urban freight logistics, and the transport of hazardous goods.
