## What the amendments focus on

This own-initiative dossier concerns the implementation of the social legislation relating to road transport. The amendments address the transposition and implementation of Directive 2002/15/EC on working time, driving time and rest periods, its minimum-protection character, the exclusion of self-employed drivers from its scope, the misclassification of employees as self-employed drivers, national health and safety legislation, fair competition in the sector, and the Commission's impact assessment, with several deletions.
