## What the amendments focus on

This own-initiative dossier concerns development perspectives on peace-building and nation-building in post-conflict situations. The amendments stress that the end of hostilities does not automatically lead to lasting stability and link peace, security and development, citing the Millennium Development Goals, demilitarisation, disarmament, the rule of law, management of natural resources and extractive industries, control of arms exports and the EU Code of Conduct, and the role of women and children.
