## What the amendments focus on

This dossier is a report on a strategy for the future settlement of the institutional aspects of regulatory agencies. The amendments address a horizontal evaluation of regulatory agencies, a common framework with clear mandates, principles of good governance, independence, democratic control and transparency, impact assessments and cost-benefit analyses, accountability under the Financial Regulation, the draft Interinstitutional Agreement, and merging the functions of smaller agencies.
