## What the amendments focus on

This own-initiative report concerns the European Authentic Act. The amendments address mutual recognition and enforcement of authentic acts and analogous formal legal documents across Member States, the probative value and authenticity of such acts drawn up by public officials or notaries, the exclusion of immovable property rights, and the fact that the authentic act does not exist in common-law systems (England and Wales) or Nordic countries.
