# Gender mainstreaming in EU external relations and peace-building / nation-building

## What the amendments focus on

This own-initiative report concerns gender mainstreaming in EU external relations and peace-building/nation-building. Amendments address putting commitments on gender equality and women's empowerment into practice with adequate funding and staff, an EU Action Plan, a European Envoy for Women's Rights, gender-sensitive budgeting, gender in ESDP missions and the future External Action Service, rape and sexual violence as weapons of war, trafficking in women, and quotas for women in peace processes.
