## What the amendments focus on

Own-initiative report on wilderness in Europe. Amendments call on the Commission to define wilderness and map Europe's remaining wilderness areas, study their value and ecosystem services, develop an EU wilderness strategy and special funding, integrate wilderness into the Natura 2000 network and the Birds, Habitats, Water Framework and Marine Strategy Directives, promote sustainable tourism, and address climate change.
