## What the amendments focus on

This own-initiative report concerns an action plan for intelligent transport systems. The amendments address ITS as a tool for safer, more efficient and cleaner transport, interoperability and standardisation, intermodal and urban mobility, the European rail traffic management system, freight and dangerous goods, data protection and privacy, satellite navigation programmes, and minimum levels of ITS applications and services.
