## What the amendments focus on

A proposal amending the financing instrument for cooperation with industrialised and other high-income countries and territories to also cover certain developing countries. The amendments adjust the legal basis and treaty articles, define cooperation goals and areas such as economic, academic, cultural and scientific links, trade, investment and SMEs, set financial reference amounts in euro for listed countries, and address overlap with other external action instruments.
