## What the amendments focus on

This report concerns the development of an EU criminal justice area. The amendments address the principle of mutual recognition, the European Arrest Warrant and its proportionate use, the Hague and Tampere Programmes, procedural safeguards based on the presumption of innocence including the right to a Letter of Rights and legal advice, the rights of victims, judicial training, data protection, and confiscation of assets from organised crime.
