## What the amendments focus on

This own-initiative report concerns the European Central Bank annual report for 2008. The amendments address the financial and economic crisis, inflation and government debt, the ECB's liquidity provisions and 'Enhanced Credit Support', collateral including asset-backed securities, interest-rate cuts compared with the US Federal Reserve and Bank of England, banks not passing on cuts to customers, transparency of collateral valuation, systemic risk, and an exit strategy from monetary easing.
