## What the amendments focus on

This own-initiative report concerns consumer protection. Amendments discuss the Consumer Markets Scoreboard and Internal Market Scoreboard, call for an active consumer policy to empower informed consumers, strengthen consumer awareness, education and the role of consumer organisations, address the cross-border and e-commerce dimension, vulnerable and low-income consumers in the economic crisis, and the integration of consumer interests into Union policies under the Lisbon Treaty.
