## What the amendments focus on

This dossier reviews the Brussels I Regulation on jurisdiction and the recognition and enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters. The amendments address abolition of exequatur and safeguards for the defence, a special review procedure, arbitration and the New York Convention, choice-of-court agreements and third parties, provisional measures and the Denilauer case-law, authentic instruments, 'torpedo actions' and lis pendens, forum non conveniens, and domicile.
