## What the amendments focus on

An own-initiative report on protection of the Communities' financial interests and the fight against fraud, annual report 2008. The amendments address the financial impact of irregularities, recovery of wrongly paid funds, public procurement as the area most vulnerable to fraud and corruption, the role and independence of OLAF, a European Prosecutor's Office, transparency of EU-fund beneficiaries, and anti-fraud cooperation with third countries.
