## What the amendments focus on

This report concerns Community innovation policy in a changing world. The amendments address the impact of the economic crisis and credit crunch on investment in innovation, especially for SMEs, the knowledge triangle of research, innovation and education, key enabling and future and emerging technologies, the innovation gap between Member States, social and ecological innovation, university-business links, digital networks and broadband, and societal challenges including climate change.
