## What the amendments focus on

Own-initiative report on a European Union strategy for the Baltic Sea region and the role of macro-regions in future cohesion policy. The amendments concern cooperation with external partners, the Northern Dimension framework and the Council of the Baltic Sea States as a basis for external cooperation, and stepping up cooperation with Russia, including the Kaliningrad region and a Partnership and Cooperation Agreement.
