## What the amendments focus on

The dossier concerns statistics on tourism. Amendments revise recitals and provisions on producing European tourism statistics, tourism satellite accounting to assess macro-economic and ecological importance including external environmental and climate-change costs, definitions of tourism and same-day visits, statistics on social tourism for groups such as the elderly, youth and disabled persons and on the use of Union funds, pilot studies, means of transport, and tourist expenditure.
