## What the amendments focus on

The dossier concerns combating the sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of children and child pornography. Amendments rework definitions (including persons below the age of 18 and depictions of sexual acts), recitals citing the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Charter of Fundamental Rights, and provisions on offences spread via new technologies and the internet, prosecution including extraterritorial sex tourism, jurisdiction, and victim protection and prevention.
