## What the amendments focus on

The dossier concerns transitional arrangements for bilateral investment agreements between Member States and third countries. Amendments address the maintenance, amendment, conclusion and renegotiation of agreements relating to foreign direct investment within an area of exclusive Union competence, a notification procedure to the Commission, conditions for authorisation and its withdrawal, legal certainty for investors, and Commission reporting; one amendment rejects the Commission proposal.
