## What the amendments focus on

Legislative proposal recasting the directive on deposit guarantee schemes. The amendments revise recitals on harmonising Member States' rules, preventive action and supervision, institutional protection schemes, protecting depositors against the insolvency of credit institutions, coverage levels, and ex-ante or ex-post funding to reach a target level of available financial means.
