## What the amendments focus on

A legislative file on judicial cooperation in criminal matters to combat attacks against information systems. The amendments approximate criminal-law rules and penalties, including aggravated penalties for attacks by criminal organisations, address terrorist and politically motivated attacks on critical infrastructure, propose a Union Cybersecurity Coordinator and cooperation with bodies such as Europol, the EDA and NATO's CCDCOE, and reference the Council of Europe Convention on Cybercrime.
