## What the amendments focus on

The dossier concerns economic governance requirements for the budgetary frameworks of the Member States (the 'Six pack'). Amendments revise recitals on economic and monetary union, the Stability and Growth Pact, the European Semester and multilateral surveillance, on transparency and validation of macroeconomic and budgetary forecasts and methodologies, and on democratic legitimacy and the roles of the Commission, Council and Parliament; several reject the Commission proposal.
