## What the amendments focus on

Dossier on wholesale energy market integrity and transparency. Amendments rework recitals on fostering competition in wholesale energy markets, the role of the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators in monitoring electricity, gas, oil, coal and CO2 markets, definitions of inside information and market manipulation, derivative and commodity trading, national regulatory authorities' enforcement powers, and proportionate, dissuasive penalties.
