## What the amendments focus on

The dossier concerns the role of women in agriculture and rural areas. Amendments cite the IAASTD report and the Europe 2020 strategy, and address ageing, low population density and depopulation of rural areas, the 'masculinisation' of the rural population, women as a share of the agricultural workforce and as farm owners, gender equality, social cover for women in agriculture, the Common Agricultural Policy's second pillar, and rural tourism.
