# Improving the economic governance and stability framework of the Union, in particular in the euro area

## What the amendments focus on

This own-initiative dossier concerns improving the economic governance and stability framework of the Union, in particular in the euro area. The amendments revise recitals and provisions on economic policy coordination and surveillance, the European Stabilisation Financial Mechanism, the Excessive Deficit Procedure and the 3% deficit and 60% debt ratios, the European Semester, budgetary coordination, EU budget and EIB resources, tax cooperation and the European Central Bank.
