## What the amendments focus on

The dossier is a new Energy Strategy for Europe 2011–2020. Amendments stress completing the internal energy market, security of energy supply, energy efficiency and savings, renewables, and diversification of sources and infrastructure; many call on the Commission to promote efficiency and safety rules through trade agreements and the WTO, support projects in developing countries, and adopt a common methodology for measuring national efficiency targets.
