## What the amendments focus on

Own-initiative report on the cultural dimensions of the EU's external actions. Amendments stress the intrinsic value of culture for development, inclusion, democracy, human rights and conflict prevention, the economic role of cultural goods, industries and tourism, artists as cultural diplomats, the mobility of performing-arts professionals, new media, and culture as an instrument of cultural diplomacy and global peace, referencing Article 167(4) TFEU.
