## What the amendments focus on

The dossier is the EIB annual report for 2009. Amendments call for increased long-term strategic investment, greater transparency and accountability of the EIB towards Parliament, prudential supervision options involving the European Banking Authority, and address the bank's AAA rating, EU budget guarantees, lending to SMEs through financial intermediaries, the European Progress Microfinance Facility, policy on non-transparent jurisdictions, and the changes brought by the Lisbon Treaty.
