## What the amendments focus on

Legislative proposal establishing a European Account Preservation Order. The amendments concern safeguards against abuse, security deposits and the claimant's liability for damage, the defendant's right to a fair trial and to review of the order, recognition and enforceability across Member States, the surprise effect requiring the debtor not to be heard before issue, the cross-border requirement, and mechanisms for accessing information on debtors' accounts.
