## What the amendments focus on

The dossier concerns administrative cooperation through the Internal Market Information System (IMI). Amendments revise recitals and provisions on using IMI to exchange personal data among Member States' competent authorities and the Commission, the roles of IMI coordinators and actors, interaction by external actors and citizens, expansion of IMI to new internal-market acts via pilot projects, data-protection safeguards and the European Data Protection Supervisor, and the retention of personal data.
