## What the amendments focus on

Proposal on the methods and procedure for making available the VAT-based own resource. The amendments add citations to Parliament's earlier resolutions on own resources and the Multiannual Financial Framework, and recitals welcoming the Commission's proposals to reform the own-resources system, including a financial transaction tax and a new EU VAT resource, and considering a CO2 footprint tax as a possible additional own resource.
