## What the amendments focus on

This own-initiative report concerns budgetary control of EU financial assistance to Afghanistan. Amendments stress the objectives of development aid, the persistence of corruption, the need for donor coordination and risk management by the EEAS and the Commission, and conditions on channelling aid through the Afghan Government's budget. Others reference the empowerment of women, the EUPOL mission, NATO and ISAF, and reform of the Afghan National Army and Police.
