## What the amendments focus on

This own-initiative dossier concerns the European Schools' system. The amendments dispute the financing of the schools through Member State contributions and the EU's balancing contribution, the secondment of teachers, budgetary autonomy and transparency, the schools' intergovernmental Convention and legal basis, education in pupils' mother tongue and foreign languages, and overcrowding and infrastructure in the Brussels and Luxembourg schools.
