# 2020 perspective for women in Turkey

## What the amendments focus on

An own-initiative report on a 2020 perspective for women in Turkey. The amendments address Turkey's legislative framework on gender equality, violence against women including domestic violence and honour killings, maternity leave and childcare, women's participation in social, economic and political life, the Committee on Equal Opportunities in the Turkish Parliament, civil society and NGO involvement, and the situation of Kurdish women and regional disparities.
