## What the amendments focus on

Own-initiative report on a Roadmap to a Single European Transport Area towards a competitive and resource-efficient transport system. The amendments call for greenhouse gas reduction targets for the transport sector, a transition to non-fossil-fuel propulsion, rail infrastructure and intermodality, alternative and renewable energies, application of 'user pays' and 'polluter pays' principles, and measures on air quality and shipping emissions.
