## What the amendments focus on

An own-initiative report on EU development cooperation supporting universal energy access by 2030. The amendments stress that energy access is a prerequisite for the Millennium Development Goals, promote decentralised renewable solutions over grid extension and large hydropower, criticise donor funding for fossil fuels and large dams, reference the World Commission on Dams, agrofuels and land rights, and address technology transfer and private investment.
